Jo and Cory | Chapel Farm Wedding
The awesome Jo and Cory, who live in Paraburdoo, were married at Chapel Farm in the Swan Valley in early November. It's hard in this business as I try not to have favourites and I have had many this year! But Jojo, what a wedding hon :) So full of joy, of laughter, of funny faces, of kids having the time of their life, of true love, of silliness, of the country. I really don't think I'll ever forget it. Jo is one of many of my brides that I just wanted to adopt and take home with me. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met.
The boys got ready at Chapel Farm in the little Bali villa, chosen by Jo and Cory as they were going to Bali for their honeymoon :)
The story I heard was that Cory didn't initially want a really good wedding ring, since he thought he would lose it or damage it working, however Jo surprised him early with this amazing and unique wedding ring.
Cory made this iron ore ring for Jo for his initial proposal and I just thought it was so special. I just loved all the little details and sweet sentiments in everything that went into this wedding!
The bouquets were by Angel Flowers.
Jo's very much loved dad had passed away and they had a lovely memorial to him set up on the registry table. Jo and Cory lit the candle to remember him during the initial part of the ceremony. This is a photo of him and Jo when she was just a wee tacker! So cute :)
Jo's four brothers walked her down the aisle to Cory.
I'm so glad I could take these guys to my special spot near Chapel Farm where I knew there was a deep red road track. It's not Paraburdoo, but it looks pretty gorgeous :)
I'm not one to do a gazillion detail shots at weddings, but when people have put sooo much effort and time and thought into what they create at the reception, how can you not? From the emu to the lanterns, to the red dirt they brought all the way from Paraburdoo, to the stubby holders; it was just incredible how they brought the bush into their city wedding. My favourite part was the table names. Postcards from all the places in the world Jo and Cory have travelled to! I was getting more and more envious the more tables I went to!! Wyoming! That's where I'm going to have my horse ranch when the kids leave home, didn't you know?? ;)
Cory talking about Jo's dad in his speech. My heart broke a little for Jo watching her.
What an incredible reception..so much fun!!
Thank you so much Jojo and Cory for having me along :) It was a true pleasure to be a part of your lovely wedding day. I'll have to come visit you one day!
I'd also like to thank my wonderful second shooter, Shannon from Some Pretty Things Photography. Shannon started with me in early October just for some work experience and I swear I have never seen someone learn so fast within a matter of a few weeks. She has managed to make herself indispensible haha! So she will be coming to the majority of my 2011 weddings as an official second shooter, since I don't know what I'd do without her now. Thank you Shannon, for running around, for bringing me Coke, for rolling my roller case, for helping organising family portraits, for being there right when I need you and most of all...for taking an increasing amount of kick ass photographs.
