Alana and Grant were married on a beautiful Spring day, amongst the wildflowers at Kings Park. Their ceremony was so sweet and lovely, having written their own vows to each other. As the sun set lower in the afternoon sky, we wandered around the Botanic Gardens making the most of the Everlastings and Kangaroo Paw. A quick trip to the Rose Gardens in Nedlands to make the most of the blooms, before dancing at sunset on North Cottesloe beach! Alana designed her own dress and Bride By Design created her vision for her and I loved her birdcage veil and hairpiece.
On to the reception with some of the most interesting dance moves I've ever seen (go the Adelaide contingent!), some great speeches and a surprise from Grant to his new wife, which he pulled off very well considering Alana 'doesn't do surprises' hehe. He designed a multimedia presentation using photos and videos from when they had met and the travels they had been on, to the trip last year which led to his proposal. You are setting the bar high for grooms Grant! Loved it :)
The amazing croquembouche was created by Martineau's Patisserie and it was 'cut' in the traditional style by smashing the top off with a bottle of champers. The couple wore a Hawaiian lei each and ran through a tunnel of arms to leave the reception, off travelling again...
Big thanks to Janine for once again being second shooter extraordinaire!
